I haven't done any commentary in a minute and to be honest with you I just became inspired to write again as of Friday night. Inner Loop Records is bringing you The Beatdown showcasing a few more of the DMV's best in Hip Hop, The Diamond District. Consisting of XO, Oddisee and Y.U., The Diamond District's debut album, In The Ruff, presents an image and sound of the DC metro area or DMV that was unheard of - until now. If you were at the Reasonable Doubt Remix Project in March then you know what you're in for with this one. If you missed it, however, let's just say Inner Loop Records knows which emcees and DJs will make for a great showing of the talent being unearthed in the DMV.
