Friday 5/29: Artomatic 10th Anniversary and Grand Opening @ The Navy Yard



Artomatic creates community, builds audience + expands economic development by transforming available space into a playground for artistic expression. Open-entry events showcase creative work including visual art, music, film, performance, poetry + fashion.

Artomatic’s 10th anniversary open-entry creative arts showcase hits Capitol Riverfront’s Half Street at 55 M St. SE May 29 – July 5. (From 1PM-10PM)

Over 1000 artists are expected to draw over 70,000 visitors to the Artomatic 2009 creative arts showcase. Educational resources are available at Artomatic for students, families and children + Artomatic was voted a 2009 Washington City Paper BESTof reader’s choice for best DC arts festival.

Artomatic 2009 is being produced in conjunction with the Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement District and Monument Realty. Washington, D.C.’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood is a vibrant new mixed-use community and riverfront destination located between the U.S. Capitol Building and the Anacostia River and between Barracks Row Main Street and South Capitol Street.

Artomatic is a non-profit organization headed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is funded in part by the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, an agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
