Metro's Lowered Expectations

I gather this dude was a pimp/sex working/gun toting/boat smoking/selling roughian prior to Metro. If that's the case I know mad people who can get a job now.

Everyone is talking about the Metro bus driver that got off the bus and punched McGruff the Crime Dog but no one is really talking about the bus driver. I think the is a much bigger problem for Metro. This metro driver has been arrested three times for the following charges.

prostitution in Oct. 30, 2006
possession of PCP in 1994
possession of a gun in 1990
* In each case, prosecutors declined to file the charges in court.

Having drivers with these charges driving residents and kids around the town is a serious issue. You can’t even drive a forklift in a factory if you have tested positive for marijuana and Metro is letting this guy drive a bus load of people.

Metro’s response is that they will hire anyone that is qualified and doesn’t have a felony charge against them. Now I am starting to think what kind of charges train operators have. Metro should release statistics of employees that are responsible for people in there daily job that have been arrested by each charges. What do you think? (via Living In The District)
